I love Popeye's fried chicken. This last time I got a 2 piece meal (breast and thigh) spicy fried chicken with a biscuit and cajun rice.
The crispy skin was right on. Crunchy and well seasoned. The meat was moist and well cooked. The rice was also very well done, a bit small, but spicy.
The staff is OK, you really can't ask too much of fast food restaurants, but they were ok. -

Despite the subpar management of this franchise, I will continue coming back to Popeye's at Providence Place Mall because the fried chicken is so good. I think they need to adjust their strategy for fluctuations in market demand. Twice I have gone to Popeyes and they have not been able to make what I wanted. Once, I went around dinner time and ordered the red beans and rice. They had run out! Then, just this week, I took a special lunch trip with my coworker to try the chicken sandwich that everyone has been raving about on Twitter, only to find out that they had not defrosted enough brioche buns! We both got two-piece combos instead, but couldn't get over our disappointment. I'm definitely going to return because I have to try the sandwich, but come on.. Please work on making sure you don't have stockouts like this! It's a pain for customers.

Well, this happened today @Popeyes in @ProvPlaceMall ... way to ruin someone's lunch... brought back to the manager and she says "you know this is the mall, you can't expect much" smh

Rude and racist cashier. This is the first time I come here. The service is really bad. I ordered 5 chicken tenders I asked spicy but the lady took the ordered was so mean when she just asked anything else anything else and didn't care much.
I noticed she stared a black guy in front of me as he was trying to find his money, I just heard abit he said that I have money and he was all set.
To my turn, she seems didn't listened to me when I ordered spicy and took me mild one. I didn't know until I received my meal then I asked her to change it but she said they couldn't as I ordered it and didn't let her know that's my fault. It's so disgusting and I am so upset as she's really disrespected me at the beginning when I ordered. Just anything else, anything else and throw me the lemonade cup. But she changed her attitude with the guy after me a white guy with vest suit. Anything else, Sir. And smile with him when she gave his coke.
The line was just 2 people after me and I didn't think I wasted her time.
Finally they accepted to change my chicken after arguing but it's so disappointed as the chicken tenders was so salty, I just feel like I ate salt and not really spicy as I ate in the other restaurant. The corn and lemonade cup was my last hope but they tasted so bad too.
This is the firsts time I left a review on yelp or rate 1 start for a restaurant even I used to have some bad experiences as I usually think it may effect on the revenue of that restaurant but it seems like the Lady Cashier didn't care. -

One of my favorite fast food places! Always tastes so yummy and food always comes out hot and fast! I need one closer to my home!
